Our clients book a wide range of speakers, from internationally known celebrities to bestselling authors to first class business speakers. We are looking for a dynamic, creative individual interested in online marketing and social media, to help Keynote target new clients and create a greater online presence
Responsibilities
• Email announcements and email newsletter
The intern will be responsible for creating email newsletters, using Constant Contact. This includes layout using templates, sourcing and editing content, deployment, and tracking of results.
• Social media presence
The intern will assist the marketing department to monitor Facebook and Twitter responses and will assist in creating and posting new entries appropriate for our clients.
• Target marketing using prospective client lists
The intern will create news announcements via email for targeted client lists, and will track and record responses for sales leads.
Term:
This in-office part time position is designed for 15-20 hours per week for approximately 3 months. Successful interns may have the opportunity to increase the term, or move to a full time position.
Desired education and experience for this entry-level position:
College student or recent graduate with a marketing, communications, or related business major. Excellent writer and editor in English. Some familiarity with online marketing channels and current online social media marketing tools.
Software required: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Goldmine database experience or Constant Contact experience is a plus.

The world headquarters of the International Association of Business Communications (IABC) in downtown SF is looking for a 5-month, part-time intern to assist in the marketing and communications office. You will join a lean but talented marcomm staff and work with smart and creative people in a nice office in a great location with easy access to BART, Chinatown and North Beach.

Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the execution of marketing and communication plans including writing and managing email campaigns and website updates
- Produce and edit conference videos
- Write copy for and update social media sites
- Draft and distribute press releases
- Help pitch story ideas and interviews to press
- Provide general administrative support
Skills/Experience:
- 1-2 years experience in marketing and/or PR preferred. Excellent opportunity for a graduate marketing/communications student
- Experience with production and editing of videos preferred
- Computer skills including Word, Excel and social networking/technology required
- Strong writing, copy editing and proofreading skills
- Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks with limited time and manage projects on a deadline
- Exceptional work ethic and problem-solving abilities
- Must be a self-starter; show initiative and be able to work autonomously
- A solid understanding of marketing and public relations principles experience required
- Knowledge of current trends in business communication
Candidate Eligibility:
- The candidate must be eligible to work in the USA (No H1 Visa Sponsorship).
- Able to begin work on or about September 24 and commit 24 hrs/week through January 2013
